Students deserve better than being treated as suspects. True assessment verification allows open notes and prep time, focusing on whether a student genuinely understands the core concepts rather than memorizing facts under high-pressure, restrictive conditions.

Conversation-based assessment is inherently student-centred. It tests understanding, not compliance. It rewards preparation, not performance under surveillance. And it produces evidence that students themselves can learn from.
